Our client in Hixon is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join their expanding team. They are UK’s largest converter of lightweight commercial vehicles and have been operating for over 40 years.

The Role

Raising purchase orders for all areas of the busines

s Expediting open purchase orders to ensure delivery is on time and in full

Negotiating better pricing with existing suppliers

Produce reports as required

Cost saving initiatives including finding alternative suppliers, without compromising on quality and in line with purchasing policy.

Maintain and build relationships with new and existing suppliers

Assisting the accounts department to resolve any invoice queries before month end

Attend various meetings to review and discuss upcoming projects and how the purchasing department can support.
